The East London Grand Prix Circuit is one of the most historic and challenging tracks in South Africa. Known for its fast straights and tight corners, it demands precision and skill from all drivers. The circuit has a rich history and is a favourite among both drivers and fans.

The weather forecast for the weekend predicts mild temperatures with a mix of sun and clouds. Conditions are expected to be dry, providing an ideal setting for some high-speed racing action.

TGRSA will field its regular line-up of SATC drivers, all piloting the SATC GR Corolla:

Michael van Rooyen: Currently third in the championship standings, van Rooyen is looking to build on his strong performances and move up the standings.

Saood Variawa: In fourth place, Variawa has shown exceptional pace and consistency this season.

Nathi Msimanga: Msimanga, in sixth place, is eager to secure more points and challenge for podium finishes.

In addition to the SATC, TGRSA will also be competing in the SupaCup Championship:

Sa’aad Variawa: Taking part in his second round behind the wheel of the TGRSA SupaStarlet, Sa’aad had to deal with some niggles during Round 4 but is looking for a clean run this weekend to show his true potential, as well as the pace of the SupaStarlet.

The weekend will kick off with practice sessions on Friday, followed by qualifying and two race heats on Saturday. The SATC and SupaCup races will run at the same time, with the cars sharing the circuit. Both categories promise to deliver thrilling action and competitive racing.

“We are excited to be racing at the East London Grand Prix Circuit, a track that has always delivered great racing,” said Riaan Esterhuysen, Senior Manager at TGRSA. “Our drivers have shown great resilience and determination this season, and we are confident they will continue to perform at their best. We are looking forward to an exciting weekend of racing.”

As the championship heats up, every race becomes crucial in determining the ultimate standings. TGRSA is focused on delivering top performances and securing valuable points in both the SATC and SupaCup championships.
