Lexus LC gets even better

The Lexus LC 500 is the flagship of the Lexus coupe line – a car of exceptional beauty and sublime performance. Since Lexus embodies the Kaizen philosophy of continuous improvement, each model receives regular improvements during its lifespan, and the LC 500 is no exception.

The 2020 LC 500, which is already on sale in South Africa, features upgrades that focus on driver experience, predominantly in the interior and to the technology fitted to the vehicle. In terms of driver assistance technology, the LC’s Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) system control has been improved for a smoother ride in varying conditions, while newly added Active Cornering Assist (ACA) improves handling, most notable in cornering. Further attention has been given to handling and stability through the addition of an improved Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS) as well as Dynamic Rear Steering (DRS) controls.

To make the most out of its dynamic chassis and raft of electronic driving aids, the LC 500 is fitted with a naturally aspirated 5-litre V8 petrol engine that produces 351kW and 540Nm, resulting in a sprint of 0 – 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds. A 10-speed automatic gearbox is able to harness the performance potential of this engine, but can also be driven both economically and comfortably in and about town.

A new 17MM+ high resolution audio system has been fitted to the LC 500, and it incorporates the standard USB Audio, DAB phase driver, Miracast, Smartphone linking, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

A vehicle as strikingly handsome as the LC 500 deserves to be clad in a colour that does justice to its lines. To this end, Lexus designers spend up to two years perfecting the hues for specific vehicles, the latest result of which is Blazing Carnelian. It is complemented by Manhattan Orange, a bespoke colour that has been used for the headlining, door panels and seat upholstery accents.

The 2020 LC 500 retails for R2 033 700 including the best-in-class 7-year/105 000km* Warranty and Full Maintenance Plan, as standard on all Lexus models. This approach illustrates the belief Lexus has in its vehicles’ master craftsmanship and outstanding build quality.

*T&C’s apply. Please note Standard Warranty for the LX range is, 7 years / 100 000km.
